Wife Mom Fanatic: Vacation

Our summers typically include a vacation near the 1st or 2nd week of June. Typically we go with my parents and sister to Florida. This year we decided to do something a little different and head to San Antonio with some friends and their girls. One of their daughters is about the same age as my youngest and they all enjoy playing together so we decided to vacay together this year. :)

Today was our travel day. It takes about 5 hours or a little longer to get from home to San Antonio. We headed out this morning and made it here this afternoon around 4. Surprisingly we didn't have to make any stops other than lunch and then we decided to make the stop at Bucc-ee's because we had never been there and it seems to be the happening place. :) We were all a little bit amazed at the size of the place and I have to say that Bella, Jenna & Jim and okay me too were all pretty amazed by the monstrous wall of candy. We didn't see everything there so will definitely be making a stop on the way back.

Unfortunately our travel companions daughter was a little sickly today so she didn't enjoy the traveling too much. We prayed for her to feel better tonight when I was tucking the girls in so hopefully she will wake up much better in the morning. :)

We are staying a little less than a mile from the Riverwalk so we headed down there tonight for dinner and walked around just a little. We didn't want our sweet friend to miss out on too much so we didn't do very much sightseeing.
